CUB started as a company aiming to change the way Brașov and its residents relate to bicycles.
Although we initially aimed for Quality Urban Bicycle Courier services, we pivoted towards sales, repairs, and rentals of Econic One electric bicycles and more.
Why bike and scooter service in Brașov?
Because this city needs a lot more bicycles whose wheels spin on the asphalt. And once more wheels appear, more skilled hands are needed to repair them:

We do our best to work "on the spot" or on the same day, but it's simpler if you call ahead so we know if and how we can help you.

In addition, an absolutely original idea was to develop an Escape Room game within the workshop, where people can put their minds to work in a very pleasant way, in a scenario as authentic as possible – inside a functional bike service shop.
Why CUB Velo Hub?
Everything we do now, we do out of a sincere desire for **sustainability**. Repairs are one of the 6-Rs: Refuse-Reduce-Reuse-**Repair**-Repurpose, and only then Recycle. Furthermore, using a bicycle or scooter, at least in the city, consumes 300 times less energy compared to cars, and about 20 times less space. And finally, to be able to bring together a larger mass of cyclists and scooter riders, we designed the Hub with a café, bar, events, quizzes, concerts, etc. Precisely so that those of us with a bicycle in our soul can gather here.
We developed together, as young volunteers in the Club for Nature Protection and Tourism in Brașov. We believe that sustainable living and the corresponding education are not just found outdoors, but are something we can contribute to here, at home. In addition, we found the perfect fit for this job, becoming a start-up established and financed through the Start-up@CENTRU project (ID 105851) within the Romania Start Up Plus call (POCU 2014-2020).
